After a magical morning exploring fermented drinks, the Agua de Madre fermentary will be hosting our vegetable ferment frolic on Saturday 30 April from 2.30pm until 4.30pm.
Heard about sauerkraut but still wondering what all the fizz is about? Consuming fermented vegetables, but not quite sure how to make them yourself? Come and join me and my partner in brine, Hannah Robson for 2 hrs of hands-on microbial magic! We will chat about microbes and gut health. You will make your own vegetable ferment and taste various fermented vegetables, all in the beautiful surroundings of the Agua de Madre fermentary in Hackney.
And if you want to go the whole hog, there is fermented drinks frolic in the morning too!
On top of all that, Dearbhla Reynolds, my friend, fellow fermenter and author of the brilliant ferment recipe book, The Cultured Club, will be making a guest appearance at some point during the day to join the fun.
